The Class Action 'Zine
Over the summer 0f 2006 Class Action intern Lani Blechman created “Class Warrior” the Class Action ‘zine. The ‘zine is 50 pages of articles, cartoons, artwork, facts and personal reflections aimed at reaching a new audience. Class Action is committed to getting ‘class’ talked about, so Lani thought if we published a ‘zine we could reach a different group of people and maybe help connect some folks who envision a better world.

The first edition of Class Warrior is meant to be a sort of dictionary—a way of expanding the vocabularies about class. We hope to continue to create new ways of getting the word out. If you'd like to order multiple copies of the 'zine please go to our store.
We are always accepting 'zine submissions! They can be written, drawn, graphed or be any other kind of printable form you want them to take.
Please send idea and/or submissions to zine@classism.org or P.O. Box 350, Hadley, MA 01035.
Some of you may be seasoned ‘zine readers, but others may be asking, “what’s a zine anyway?” A ‘zine—an abbreviation of the word magazine—is most commonly a small circulation, non-commercial publication of original or appropriated texts and images. More broadly, the term encompasses any self-published work of minority interest. ‘Zines are written in a variety of formats, from computer-printed text to comics to handwritten text. The Class Action ‘zine utilizes all of these methods. In recent years a number of photocopied ‘zines have risen to professional status and have found wide bookstore distribution. Our goal is to get our publication out to high school and college students and to get some distribution to alternative, independent book and record stores.
